Make sure the project meets the needs of your community – RAISE YOUR VOICE!

AVOW has been involved in developing robust processes to ensure effective engagement of young people, older people and people who use health & social care services and carers in local strategic planning. We have also had a range of projects working with communities of interest, voluntary organisations and community cohesion projects. This Citizen Voice bid offers us the potential to work closely with communities of place and interest (like yours) and our partners through the Local Service Board to develop new projects to build on the success to date, and seek innovative approaches to developing engagement processes for communities currently underrepresented.

In order to produce an effective project, which meets the needs of local citizens and organisations, AVOW will adopt a participative approach to developing the bid. A series of public events ‘RAISE YOUR VOICE’ will take place with the following aims:

1. To raise awareness of the scheme and encourage local interest

2. To identify local issues and the preferred model for developing local services

3. To explain the process to submit expressions of interest

Each event will be run in an identical format, the three events are to provide a range of dates and locations in order to maximise the number of people and organisations to attend.

MON 1 August 2-4pm @ Room 1 Ty AVOW
